Privacy Policy
Last Updated: September 30, 2026
1. Introduction and Scope
Trash Daddy, Inc. ("Trash Daddy," "we," "us," or "our") respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, share, and protect personal information through our websites (including trashdaddy.com), mobile applications (the "App"), web admin tools, and related services (together, the "Platform"), and the choices you have.
This policy applies to Customers, Trash Daddies (independent contractors who complete orders), Refer & Earn participants, applicants, and website visitors. It also covers information we collect offline in connection with the Services, such as photos or bin records taken at a service location. It does not cover third-party websites or services, which have their own policies. Capitalized terms not defined here have the meanings in our Terms of Use.
Adults only. The Platform is intended only for people 18 and older. Ordering requires a valid credit or debit card, and Trash Daddies must be at least 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If we learn that we have, we will delete it. If you believe a minor has provided us information, contact hello@trashdaddy.com.
2. Information We Collect
2.1 Information you provide.
-
Account information: name, email address, phone number, password, profile photo, and, for organizations, the organization's name.
-
Service information: service addresses, gate or access codes, special instructions, bin quantities, order history, repeat-order settings, tips, and Gold Bin subscription details.
-
Photos and content: photos you submit for Junk estimates, messages to support or Trash Daddies, reviews, and feedback.
-
Payment information: payment card and billing details are collected and processed directly by our payment processor, Stripe. We receive limited information such as card type, last four digits, expiration date, and transaction status. We do not store full card numbers.
-
Refer & Earn information: your referral link activity, referred accounts, rewards, wallet balance, and payout details processed by Stripe.
2.2 Information from Trash Daddies and applicants.
-
Identity and verification information, such as name, date of birth, photo, government ID or driver's license information you provide, and the results of identity verification.
-
Background screening information, where you authorize it and as permitted by law.
-
Vehicle information you provide.
-
Tax and payout information, such as taxpayer ID and bank account details, collected and held by Stripe for payouts and tax reporting.
-
Work activity, including online status, orders accepted, declined, and completed, earnings, disposal-site check-ins, bin custody records, photos and notes taken during service, ratings, and support communications.
2.3 Location information.
-
Customers: service addresses you enter, and, if you allow it in your device settings, your device's precise location to help set your address, check whether service is available, and calculate pricing.
-
Trash Daddies: precise location while you are online or completing an order, used to offer nearby orders, provide navigation and arrival estimates, confirm pickups and disposal-site check-ins, and support safety and dispute resolution.
You can disable location permissions in your device settings, but some features, including completing orders as a Trash Daddy, may not work without them.
2.4 Bin and service records.
We track Gold Bins using QR codes and other identifiers linked to service addresses, Customers, and Trash Daddies, along with delivery, swap, pickup, and check-in records, timestamps, and condition photos and notes.
2.5 Information collected automatically.
When you use the Platform, we and our service providers collect device and usage information, such as IP address, device type and identifiers, operating system, browser type, app version, pages and screens viewed, links clicked, referral source, crash logs, and the dates and times of your activity. We collect this using cookies, pixels, SDKs, and similar technologies (see Section 5).
2.6 Information from third parties.
We may receive information from Stripe (payment and payout status), identity verification and background screening providers, app stores, advertising and analytics partners (for example, which ad led you to the App), and people who refer you through Refer & Earn.
3. How We Use Information
We use personal information to:
-
Provide the Services, including creating accounts, checking District availability, calculating prices, processing orders, matching orders with Trash Daddies, and delivering, swapping, and retrieving Gold Bins.
-
Process payments, subscriptions, refunds, tips, referral rewards, and Trash Daddy payouts, and collect amounts owed, including Gold Bin damage or loss charges.
-
Verify and approve Trash Daddies, conduct background screening where authorized, and manage deactivation.
-
Document service and bin condition, track bin inventory, and investigate damage, loss, and disputes.
-
Communicate with you about orders, accounts, payments, policy changes, and support, and send occasional marketing, subject to your choices.
-
Operate Refer & Earn, including attributing referrals and detecting fraud.
-
Plan and optimize Districts, routes, disposal sites, and pricing.
-
Measure and improve the Platform and our advertising, including understanding which campaigns lead to downloads and orders.
-
Protect the safety and security of Customers, Trash Daddies, our staff, and the Platform, and prevent fraud and abuse.
-
Comply with legal obligations, including tax reporting, and enforce our Terms of Use.
-
Carry out any other purpose we describe when you provide the information, or with your consent.
We may also create de-identified or aggregated information that does not identify you and use it for any lawful purpose.
4. How We Share Information
We share personal information only as described below.

-
Between Customers and Trash Daddies. When a Trash Daddy views or accepts your order, we share the information needed to complete it, such as your first name, phone number, service address, gate codes, special instructions, bin quantity, and photos. We share a Trash Daddy's first name, photo, and order status with the Customer. Trash Daddies must use Customer information only to complete accepted orders.
-
Franchisees and District staff. Franchisees and District Directors who manage a District may access information about orders, Customers, Trash Daddies, and bins in that District to manage operations and provide support, subject to confidentiality obligations.
-
Service providers. We share information with vendors that perform services for us, such as payment processing and payouts (Stripe), cloud hosting, mapping and location services, identity verification, background screening, email and push notification delivery, customer support, analytics, and website hosting. They may use it only to provide services to us, except where their own terms allow additional uses (for example, Stripe's use of data for fraud prevention).
-
Referrers. If you sign up through a referral link, the person or organization who referred you may see that you joined and the rewards earned from your orders, but not your address, contact details, or order contents.
-
Advertising and analytics partners. We work with partners such as Meta and Google that use cookies, pixels, SDKs, and similar technologies to measure and deliver our advertising, which may involve sharing device identifiers, hashed contact information, and in-app or website activity (such as downloads and orders). See Section 5 for your choices.
-
Legal and safety. We may disclose information to comply with law, legal process, or government requests; to enforce our Terms, including billing and collection; to investigate damage, theft, or fraud, including sharing information with law enforcement where appropriate; and to protect the rights, property, or safety of Trash Daddy, our users, or others.
-
Business transfers. We may transfer information in connection with a merger, acquisition, financing, reorganization, bankruptcy, or sale of all or part of our business or assets.
-
With your consent or at your direction.
We do not sell personal information for money. Some sharing with advertising partners may be considered a "sale" or "sharing" for targeted advertising under certain state laws; you can opt out as described in Sections 5 and 7.
5. Cookies, Tracking, and Your Communication Choices
5.1 Technologies we use.
We and our partners use cookies, web beacons (pixels), software development kits (SDKs), and similar technologies to operate the Platform, remember preferences, understand usage, and measure and deliver advertising. Our website is hosted on Wix, which also sets cookies needed to run the site.
5.2 Your choices.
-
Browser cookies: you can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, though some site features may not work.
-
Opt-out preference signals: where required by law, we treat a Global Privacy Control (GPC) signal from your browser as a request to opt out of sale or sharing for targeted advertising for that browser.
-
Mobile advertising: you can limit ad tracking or reset your advertising ID in your iOS or Android settings. On iOS, the App asks for permission before tracking you across other companies' apps and websites.
-
Industry opt-outs: you can opt out of interest-based ads from many companies through the Network Advertising Initiative (optout.networkadvertising.org) and the Digital Advertising Alliance (optout.aboutads.info).
-
Partner settings: you can adjust ad preferences in your Meta and Google account settings.
5.3 Communications.
You can unsubscribe from marketing emails using the link in any marketing email, and turn off push notifications in your device settings. We will still send transactional and service messages, such as order, payment, subscription, and account notices. We do not currently send text messages. If we begin to, we will obtain any consent required by law, and you will be able to opt out at any time.
6. Retention, Security, and Account Deletion
6.1 Retention.
We keep personal information for as long as needed for the purposes described in this policy, including providing Services, maintaining bin and payment records, resolving disputes, preventing fraud, and meeting legal, tax, and accounting requirements. For example, we generally keep transaction, payout, and tax records for at least seven years, and bin custody and service records for as long as they may be relevant to damage, loss, or claims. When information is no longer needed, we delete or de-identify it.
6.2 Security.
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards to protect personal information, including encryption in transit and access controls. Payment data is handled by Stripe, a PCI-compliant processor. No system is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security. Keep your password confidential and tell us promptly at hello@trashdaddy.com if you believe your account has been compromised.
6.3 Deleting your account.
You can delete your account at any time in the App. You can also request deletion by emailing hello@trashdaddy.com. When you delete your account, we delete or de-identify your personal information, except information we must keep to complete pending orders or refunds, recover Gold Bins or amounts owed, prevent fraud, resolve disputes, or comply with law. Information already shared with Stripe or other providers is subject to their retention policies.
7. Your State Privacy Rights
7.1 Your rights.
Depending on where you live, including California, Colorado, Connecticut, Delaware, Indiana, Iowa, Kentucky, Maryland, Minnesota, Montana, Nebraska, New Hampshire, New Jersey, Oregon, Rhode Island, Tennessee, Texas, Utah, Virginia, and other states with consumer privacy laws, you may have the right to:
-
Confirm whether we process your personal information and access it.
-
Correct inaccurate personal information.
-
Delete personal information.
-
Obtain a portable copy of your personal information.
-
Opt out of the sale of personal information, sharing or processing for targeted advertising, and profiling in furtherance of decisions that produce legal or similarly significant effects.
-
Limit, or withhold consent to, the processing of sensitive personal information. We treat precise geolocation as sensitive and collect it only with your device permission.
These rights vary by state and are subject to exceptions. We extend these rights to all U.S. users as a courtesy, to the extent practical, whether or not a state law applies to us.
7.2 How to exercise your rights.
Email hello@trashdaddy.com with the subject line "Privacy Request," or use the account and deletion settings in the App. To opt out of targeted advertising, email us with the subject line "Do Not Sell or Share" and use the choices in Section 5. We will verify your identity by matching information you provide with information in your account before fulfilling access, correction, or deletion requests. You may use an authorized agent, who must provide proof of your authorization. We will respond within the time required by law, typically 45 days.
7.3 Appeals.
If we decline your request, you may appeal by replying to our decision or emailing hello@trashdaddy.com with the subject line "Privacy Appeal." We will respond within the time required by law. If you are not satisfied with the result of your appeal, you may contact your state attorney general.
7.4 No discrimination.
We will not discriminate against you for exercising your privacy rights. Some requests, such as deleting information needed to provide the Services, may prevent us from continuing to provide them.
7.5 California notice.
In the past 12 months, we collected the categories of personal information described in Section 2: identifiers; customer records; commercial information; internet or network activity; geolocation data; audio, electronic, or visual information (photos); professional information (for Trash Daddies); and inferences. We collected it from the sources described in Section 2 for the purposes described in Section 3, and disclosed each category to the recipients described in Section 4. We may "share" identifiers and internet activity with advertising partners for cross-context behavioral advertising. We use sensitive personal information (precise geolocation, account login, and, for Trash Daddies, government ID and financial account information) only for purposes permitted by law, such as providing the Services, security, and verification. We do not knowingly sell or share personal information of consumers under 16. California residents may also request information about disclosures of personal information to third parties for their direct marketing purposes under California Civil Code Section 1798.83; we do not make such disclosures.
8. Changes and Contact
8.1 Changes to this policy.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The "Last Updated" date at the top shows when it was last revised. If we make material changes, we will post the updated policy on the Platform and may also notify you by email, push notification, or in-app message. Your continued use of the Platform after changes take effect means you accept the updated policy.
